Do students still take STAAR tests?
Yes. As a Texas public school, our students take all required state assessments, including STAAR. Tests are given in person at the site closest to your family's home, and you'll be notified of dates and locations well in advance.
Is Eagle Online Learning really free?
Yes. Eagle Online Learning Academy is a public school campus of Junction ISD, which makes it 100% tuition-free for every Texas resident in grades K–12. There are no enrollment fees and no hidden costs for core educational services.
Who can attend Eagle Online Learning Academy?
Any K–12 student living in Texas. We welcome families coming from traditional public schools, private and charter schools, and homeschool – wherever your child is starting from, we'll help with the transition.
How does enrollment work?
Students enroll as transfer students within Junction ISD, and enrollment is open now. Most families go from application to course access in about 1–2 weeks, depending on how quickly documents are submitted. We also accept mid-year transfers based on availability.
How do my kids get a computer?
Eligible students receive a school-issued device based on need, determined during enrollment – our goal is to make sure technology is never a barrier to a quality education. You'll just need a reliable high-speed internet connection at home.
Is the curriculum aligned to Texas (TEKS) standards?
Yes. Our curriculum is built around the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and meets or exceeds all state standards. Because we're an accredited campus of Junction ISD, our diploma is recognized by colleges, universities, employers, and military branches.
